Gah, one of my all time favorite songs I have ever written! I just love the imagery in it. And Shawn on the sax, just makes it a divine pairing don’t ya think? This song is also going onto our next album! We’ve been working on this track for quite a while. Shawn and I wrote it together while traveling back in our Ford Ecoline Van from San Diego to Sioux City IA back in 2018 or 2019. I was driving and Shawn was jamming this riff on the guitar in the back seat. It just immediately resonated with me and I felt the muses sending me lyrics and melodies! I just love it when that happens, I do a lot of writing in my head and I just kept telling Shawn (for what felt like hours) to just keep playing that riff over and over and over lol what a trooper! The end product is so magical, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it on vinyl! with full band! We talking full drums, organs, vibes AHHHHH!! the works.
